Acrylic One (A1) is a water-based composite. A1 material is successfully used worldwide in various upholstery products and applications. In addition to the well-known advantages of composites (freedom of shape, light weight and strong), A1 has superior fire resistance and no smoke development in the event of a fire. Especially in combination with a glass fiber reinforcement, thin-walled products can be made with a complex shape and with a low weight. Due to the short curing time, short production times are possible. This enables an efficient production process.

Freedom in design

Composite is known for its freedom of shape, light weight and strength. A1, water-based composite, also has these options. This means that the desired versions are infinite. From sleek facades to graceful frames in any desired color. From relief to concrete look and everything in between.

High fire resistance

An important advantage of A1 is its high fire resistance and the absence of smoke development in the event of a fire. Depending on the addition, the score can go up to A2-s1,d0 level. This is comparable to the classification of brick and concrete and makes A1 suitable in (almost) all situations…

Lightweight

A robust appearance but with a light weight, that characterizes A1. For example, A1 composite elements are 80% lighter than concrete elements. This not only offers advantages for the construction, but also for construction and transport.

Imitation

If you need a brick, concrete, natural stone or wooden look, but the original material is no longer available or possible, then A1 is very suitable. A1 makes perfect copies using a silicone mold.

Technical specs

composition and effect

Arcrylic One consists of a powder component based on calcium sulfate (CaSO4) and a liquid based on acrylate. After mixing these components, the resin can be processed into products.
The resin is water-based and does not generate VOCs (volatile organic solvents) emissions. Additional filler (e.g. sand) can also be added to the mixture.

Especially in combination with a glass fiber reinforcement, thin-walled

products can be made with a complex shape and with a low weight. Due to the short curing time, short production times are possible
