Circular 3D printed bridge

29 April 2024

Nedcam 3D printed a bridge consisting of two bridge railings and bridge deck for the municipality of Putten. The bridge can be found in the new housing estate Rimpeler after a design by Atelier Dutch and commissioned by Royal Haskoning. The bridge is for pedestrians crossing a badger trail.

The material consists of 70% industrial waste (PET-G) and is enriched with 30% glass fibre. The material is also recyclable. After the bridge no longer has a function, the material can be shredded and reprinted or the bridge can be given a 2nd life in another location. Its light weight makes it easy to move.

A great example of the possibilities with 3D printing.
